Craig A. Stanley, an Atlanta-based artist, has made a name for himself as one of the city's most prolific artists. His bold use of color in creating thought-provoking images has captured the attention of many. Craig’s beautiful artwork not only stimulates the visual senses of his audience but also conveys a subtle message of hope and empowerment.

 

Growing up in Kansas City, Craig realized his passion for art at the young age of 7, and even sold his first piece of artwork at that age. During his teenage years, he opened his own art studio, which soon garnered the attention of local radio stations, newspapers, and even national publications.

After finishing high school, Craig relocated to Atlanta where he enrolled in The Creative Circus School. It was there that he refined his craft as a graphic designer and illustrator. Craig's early career in entertainment started with designing music tour stage backdrops for major recording artists like Brooks & Dunn, Jagged Edge, and Trey Songs. He also began collaborating with production companies during this period, where he worked on painting television sets and props for brands such as Gatorade, Nike, and Cartoon Network.

In the early 2000s, Craig was commissioned to create automobile artwork for many prominent companies such as Sherwin Williams, Panoz Racing, and several film production companies. In fact, one of his first vehicles in a film made an appearance in the 2001 The Fast and The Furious.

Throughout his art career, Craig has produced a range of artwork for a host of distinguished clients in the entertainment industry, including but not limited to Tyler Perry Studios, Oprah Winfrey, Disney, Marvel Studios, Apple, Sony Pictures, Netflix, and Warner Bros Studios. His work is displayed in over 14 feature films, 13 multi-season television series, countless television commercials, and stage

In 2020, the artist made his debut in children's literature by illustrating "My Sister, My Friend", which can be purchased at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and other bookstores. Currently, he is working with Atheneum Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Publishing, to create illustrations for a new children's book.

Craig's love for art is only matched by his passion for traveling the world with his wife Coleen. He views his travels as an opportunity to learn more about the beautiful people and diverse cultures he loves to capture on his canvas. Craig's persistence and love for people continue to be the driving force behind his profound art career. He values building lasting relationships with his clients and constantly seeks new ways to evolve as an artist.
