Atlanta-based artist Craig A. Stanley’s use of bold colors to create iconic, thought-provoking images has allowed him to carve a niche as one of Atlanta’s most prolific artists. He paints beautiful artwork that stimulates his audiences’ visual senses and to tell a subtle story of hope and empowerment.
Born and raised in Kansas City he discovered his artistic desire at the age of
7 which is also when he sold his first piece of artwork.
During his teenage years Craig opened his own art studio and soon thereafter his talent was mentioned at local radio stations, newspapers, and nationally published magazines. Shortly after high school graduation Craig moved to Atlanta and attended The Creative Circus School where he honed his skills as a graphic designer and illustrator. His pioneering entertainment artwork includes painting music tour stage backdrops for major recording artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Jagged Edge and Trey Songs, to name a few. During that same time he started working with production companies to paint television sets and props for Gatorade, Nike and Cartoon Network, among others.
In the early 2000s, Craig was enlisted to create art on vehicles for notable automotive companies such as Sherwin Williams, Panoz Racing, and various film production companies which included a vehicle in The Fast and The Furious movie franchise.
In his over two-decade art career, he has produced a range of artwork for a host of distinguished clients in the entertainment industry, including but not limited to Tyler Perry Studios, Oprah Winfrey, Disney, Marvel Studios, Apple, Sony Pictures, Netflix, and Warner Bros Studios. His work is displayed in over 14 feature films, 13 multi-season television series, countless television commercials, and stage productions.
In 2020, he illustrated his first children's book, "My Sister, My Friend", available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and other book retail locations. Currently he has joined with Atheneum Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Publishing to illustrate a new children’s book in the works.
When he is not creating art, Craig loves traveling with his wife, Coleen which allows him to learn so much more about beautiful people and diverse cultures he loves to paint. His persistence and love of people have been the epitome of a profound art career. Craig values building lasting relationships with his clients and he's constantly looking for new ways to evolve as an artist allowing him to spread happiness and joy with his art to all he meets.
